Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries
  • White chocolate
  • Coconut oil: adds a little shine to the chocolate; you can use a refined coconut oil if you don't like its flavor
  • Yukai matcha

Directions:
1. Wash and pat dry the strawberries. Make sure they are completely dry.
2. Add the white chocolate to a small bowl and heat over a double-boiler or in a microwave, in 30-second increments, until completely melted. You can also heat the chocolate the au bain-marie way.
3. Once the white chocolate is melted, stir in the coconut oil and matcha powder.
4. Take a fresh strawberry by the stem/leafy end and dip the strawberry into the matcha chocolate, coating it entirely. Let any excess chocolate drip off.
5. Place the matcha coated strawberry onto a small tray lined with parchment paper.
6. Repeat with the remaining strawberries.
7. Chill the matcha strawberries in the fridge for 5-10 minutes for the matcha chocolate shell to set.
You can also add an additional extra drizzle of white chocolate or dark chocolate. Enjoy!
